What Is Winter Party Festival?

Every March, Winter Party Festival in Miami Beach transforms South Beach into one of the world’s most iconic LGBTQ+ circuit festivals — a weeklong celebration of music, pride, and community.
Hosted by the National LGBTQ Task Force, the festival features pool parties, beach events, legendary night parties,and community gatherings, all under the Florida sun.

Beyond the beats and the tan lines, Winter Party has a bigger purpose: raising funds to support LGBTQ+ advocacy and local South Florida organizations. It’s a chance to dance for a cause — and be part of something that matters.

The History Behind the Festival

The Winter Party Festival started in 1994 as a single beach dance. Three decades later, it’s now a world-famous circuit festival attracting over 10,000 attendees each year from across the globe. Since 2005, Winter Party and the Task Force Gala have reinvested over $4 million into more than 100 community organizations in South Florida, while also supporting national social justice efforts. 

Each year carries a theme celebrating queer resilience and joy in the face of adversity. The 2026 festival will feature an eclectic mix of music, community programming, and entertainment that embodies the mantra, “Live free. Play hard. Give back.”  In recent years, the festival has become a symbol of visibility and pride, especially as LGBTQ+ rights face renewed challenges in Florida and beyond.

The Iconic Beach Party

Held right on the sands of South Beach near 10th Street, this is the festival’s crown jewel — a massive open-air event featuring world-class DJs, LED staging, and thousands of sun-kissed dancers. This is one of the most unique parties you’ll ever attend and definitely one you won’t forget. As the day turns to night, the beach party transforms into something really magical.

Pool & Day Parties

Poolside events like Under One Sun and Elevate combine daytime vibes, tropical cocktails, and sexy swimwear. Want to be closest to the pool party? Then stay at the host hotel which is where the pool party is hosted.

Legendary Nightlife Events

Each night, Miami’s hottest clubs like M2 host world-renowned DJs spinning deep house, tribal, and progressive beats. Expect names from the global circuit scene to play at these parties.
