Escape from the chill of winter in warm and sunny Miami Beach, Florida for Winter Party. The highlight of this event is the beach party, which takes place on the beautiful 12th Street Beach for a unique party experience. A full long weekend of parties ensure you and your friends always have something to do. Of course you can also take time to enjoy Ocean Drive and the many restaurants and bars that dot Miami Beach.
Winter Party is put on by the National LGBTQ Task Force and it started in February 1994. The Task Force has donated more than $3.3 million to more than 90 organizations. The event is run by an all-volunteer staff and has since then become a premier yearly event that is attended by thousands from around the world.
The slate of dance events begin on Thursday night at a Miami Beach-area club to get things started. Friday afternoon continues with a pool party, usually at the host hotel’s pool. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights all have large parties at large venues, including the newly renovated M2 Nightclub right in the heart of Miami Beach. Usually one or two of these parties are put on in collaboration with other well-known circuit party production groups to enhance your experience.
The main event of the weekend, however, is the infamous Beach Party on the sands of the 12th Street Beach. This afternoon party is unique and provides an experience like no other. The Task Force beautifully decorates the beach with a large pavilion complete with a dance floor that covers the sand. As the sun sets, decorative lights create a whole different vibe for the rest of the party. Expect a lot of colors, speedos and other unique experiences for this one.
There is also a tea dance Saturday afternoon before the night event. Last year it took place at the Oasis Wynwood, a beautiful large indoor/outdoor venue in the heart of the new Wynwood Art District. The weekend is finished off Monday night for the finale event to round out a busy, yet memorable weekend.
Winter Party provides a variety of weekend pass options, including a full pass and a weekend only pass, as well as single event ticket sales. The VIP full pass includes access to every event, including a VIP cocktail reception at the beginning of the weekend. Be sure to attend the Sunday Beach Party – you won’t regret it! Expect every event to be very well run and operated and the production value to be exceptionally high, especially dancer’s costumes at the Beach Party and the club experience at the night events. The DJ lineup always includes well-known, top tier names that is sure to please everyone.
Winter Party has become one of the premier events on the yearly circuit and once you attend, you’ll understand why it is so well-attended every year.
