Privacy Policy — Circuit Party Info

This Privacy Policy explains how Circuit Party Info (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App.

What we collect

You provide

  • Home City you choose in Settings.

  • Account information (optional): If you create an account, you provide: – Display name – Email address – Password (stored encrypted, never visible to us) – Birthday (to verify age requirement of 18+)

Collected automatically

  • App usage: screens viewed, taps, session duration, device model, OS version, app version, language/locale (via Firebase Analytics).

  • Approximate location: country and sometimes city derived from IP by our analytics/notification providers (we do not request GPS).

  • Identifiers: a push notification token (via OneSignal) and an analytics instance ID (via Firebase).

  • Crash/diagnostic data (if enabled in the future).

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or precise location.

Account data stored in the cloud if you create an account (optional), we store the following in Firebase Firestore:

  • Your display name, email, and birthday
  • Your saved events, favorite DJs, and home city preferences
  • Account creation and last update timestamps
  • A unique user ID generated by Firebase Authentication This allows you to sync your data across devices and restore it if you reinstall the App.

How we use data

  • Core features: remember your Home City and show relevant events.

  • Notifications: send city-based alerts you opt into (OneSignal).

  • Analytics & improvement: understand which features are used and improve performance (Firebase Analytics).

  • Security & compliance: protect against abuse and comply with legal obligations.

  • Account services: authenticate your login, sync your preferences across devices, and backup your saved events and favorites.
  • Age verification: ensure users meet the 18+ age requirement. 
  • Account recovery: allow you to reset your password via email.

We do not sell any of the data we collect to third-parties, partners or any other entities.

Tracking & advertising

We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not use the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
If we add ad networks or cross-app tracking in the future, we will update this policy and request your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

We share data with service providers that process it on our behalf:

These providers may process data in the United States or other countries. We require them to protect data according to applicable laws and this policy.

Your choices & controls

  • Notifications: iOS Settings → Notifications → Circuit Party Info to turn notifications on/off. Inside the App, you can also disable city-based alerts.

  • Home City: change or clear it anytime in the App.

  • Analytics: contact us to request deletion/reset of your analytics identifier; we can also honor opt-out requests if you prefer limited analytics.

  • Data requests: email us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data (see Contact).

  • Account data:
    • View and edit your display name in Account Settings
    • Delete your account and all associated data by using the in-app delete option
    • Download a copy of your account data by contacting us
  • Local vs. Cloud: You can use the App without an account (data stored locally on device only) or create an account to sync user data across devices.

Data retention

  • Home City: stored until you change/clear it or uninstall the App.

  • Push tokens: kept by OneSignal while notifications are enabled or until the token expires/uninstall.

  • Analytics events: retained per our Firebase settings (typically up to 14 months) or as required by law.

  • Account data: retained until you delete your account. After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where we must retain it for legal compliance.
  • Authentication credentials: passwords are encrypted and not accessible to us. Email addresses are retained for account recovery unless you delete your account.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 18. We require all account holders to be at least 18 years old. We verify age during account registration by requiring a birthdate. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete their account and data promptly.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures (including encryption in transit) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

If you create an optional user account:

  • Choose a strong, unique password
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • We will never ask for your password via email or other communication

International transfers

Your information may be processed outside your country (including the U.S.). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., EU/UK/EEA, some U.S. states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or laws. We’ll post the updated version and revise the “Effective date.”
