As Pride Month hits New York City, the LGBTQ+ community gears up for a spectacular celebration of love, acceptance, and pride. Among the myriad events that dot the Pride Month calendar, the parties in NYC draw large crowds from across the globe. There are many parties to choose from for the weekend and almost every party you attend will be busy. Some parties take place in New York City itself and others occur in Brooklyn, just across the river from Manhattan. The Brooklyn venues tend to be a bit larger in size and capacity.
At the core of every party is the music – and New York Pride delivers nothing short of world-class beats. Renowned DJs from across the globe descend upon the city to curate playlists that transcend genres and boundaries. From house anthems to techno beats, the music serves as a unifying force, creating an electric atmosphere that encourages self-expression and uninhibited dancing.
Beyond the music and dancing, the larger producers of parties at NYC Pride (like Masterbeat, Jake Resnicow & Ric Sena) put on very extravagant productions. Laser displays, exquisite costumes and jaw-dropping stage productions create an immersive experience that transcends the traditional club setting.
A unique party to New York is the Dreamland Pride in Central Park party put on by Jake Resnicow that takes place Sunday afternoon/early evening in a massive Central Park party. This year, Dreamland has DJ Suri and the hugely popular John Summit providing the music for the event. Jake is known for surprises so we wouldn’t be surprised if there is a surprise pop star or two that makes an appearance.
After Hour Parties: The celebration doesn’t stop when the night is over. Many of these parties continue into early morning hours or have associated after hours that go late into the morning.
