I started in my hometown (Recife) in the early/mid 80s playing vinyl. I started playing at friends’ birthday parties and school parties. I had to carry 3 very heavy suitcases with 100 records each.
My music is a reflection of my almost 4 decades of profession and everything I’ve heard throughout that time. I don’t have a defined style, but I can say that it’s a crossover of House, Synthpop, Electronica and Latin/African rhythms.

Meeting up with the friends I made through music throughout my time as a DJ, and sometimes being surprised by them traveling to hear me play in other countries.
DJing is not a choice… the music chooses you… For you to be a good DJ you need to marry the music, and love what you do. Being a DJ isn’t just about the weekend. It’s researching during the week, spending many hours producing and experimenting with new sounds. You need to give up holidays, your friends and your family, to take your music around the world.
That LAS BIBAS FROM VIZCAYA is not just a DJ, I am a musician/musical artist who tries to bring information and stories from our community with my music (tributes to icons such as Carmenn Xtravaganza, Octavia St Laurent) and I even transformed dialogues from the documentary PS: BURN THIS LETTER PLEASE in music. And I also have other musical projects in other styles: Laykkah (SynthPop/Electronica), Vizcaya (Brazilian Music) and now Las Bibas BR (without Vizcaya) focused on Afro/Deep/House.
