Enrico Meloni

How did you start your DJ career?

I started working with music at 16 at my city’s radio station; around 18, I began playing in clubs. It was a calling I followed step by step, leading me to make a living through music.

How would you describe your music style?

I describe my music style as ‘Circuit.’ While it’s a contentious term, it blends tribal house, progressive house, and Latin influences. Drawing inspiration from various genres including Italian, classical, and ethnic music, I strive to maintain coherence within my sound.

What is your favorite part about being a DJ?

My favorite aspect of being a DJ is the ability to convey my musical vision to the audience and shape the experience of an event. There’s a unique sensation in being able to influence the mood and energy of a party through music selection. It’s a rewarding experience to perceive the audience’s reaction and feel connected with them, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. The responsibility of guiding the musical experience of an audience is immense, but when you manage to create that authentic connection and feel the palpable energy in the room, it’s a truly magical and fulfilling moment for a DJ.

What do you enjoy most about the circuit party scene?

What I enjoy most about the circuit party scene is the opportunity to constantly meet new people while surrounded by friends I’ve known before. In a circuit party, you never feel alone; it’s like being at home. You could be on the other side of the world, but it still feels like home.

What is your advice to anyone who wants to become a DJ?

My advice for anyone looking to become a DJ is to passionately cultivate their love for music. Explore a wide range of musical genres to broaden your knowledge and refine your musical taste. Invest time in studying and practicing to acquire solid technical skills and perfect your mixing and production abilities. Focus on creating your own unique and distinctive style, but remain open to exploring new sounds and trends.

Lastly, be bold in your musical choices and creative in offering something innovative and memorable to your audience. If you are talented, with determination, dedication, and originality, you can achieve your dream of becoming a successful DJ.

What is one thing you'd like people to know about you?

One thing I’d love for people to know about me is that I have a secret talent for whipping up the most amazing pasta carbonara in town. So, if you ever crave a creamy bowl of delight, you know who to hit up!
