How did you start your DJ career?

I began my career in 2006. At the time I used to create custom mixes for drag artists which developed into me wanting to actually perform live and learn the craft.

How would you describe your music style?

My music style varies depending on the event I’m performing at. I like to think of myself as a well-rounded versatile DJ who can adapt and play according to the event. Reading the crowd is a fundamental part of being a DJ so that also plays a big part of the style I play.

But to answer your question, my style is a blend of Afro & tech house beats sometimes layered into a high energy sound to create the perfect Tribal House blend.

What is your favorite part about being a DJ?

Being a DJ for me is more than just showing up and playing music. It is my passion and I could not see myself doing anything else. My favorite part of it is the connections I’ve made. The wonderful people I have gotten the chance to meet and work for.

Ultimately, being able to give people a reason to smile and dance and leave their problems on the dance floor is the best part of my job.

What do you enjoy most about the circuit party scene?

I started my career in the straight scene, where I played mostly tech house and Afro house. I crossed over to the circuit scene in hopes of making a name for myself and become someone I would be proud of.

The circuit scene is to me one big happy family that no matter where in the world I perform at, I get to reconnect with friends and just have a good time. It is a safe space for music lovers to embrace who they are. I wouldn’t be where I am at without the love and support of my circuit queens.

What is your advice to anyone who wants to become a DJ?

Learn your craft, adapt, take your time, evolve and stay humble. Longevity is the key to success so do not rush it and allow yourself to fail. Everyone has to start somewhere so do not get discouraged when a door closes. I believe there is room for everyone!

What is one thing you'd like people to know about you?

Aside from loving what I do, I also sing and dance. Music has always been a big part of my life as my dad is a professional pianist who has been a musician his whole life and supported us with his music. I plan on continuing doing what I love and hopefully crossover to the straight scene as well. I want to be able to share my gift with everyone.
