It all began in the late 90s German techno underground scene. The music grabbed me, and I started collecting records, following labels, and itching to play them myself. So, I invested in a pair of Technics 1200s and a mixer, setting them up in my university flat. Local DJ gigs soon followed, and the journey began (yes, I’m a vinyl kid at heart!).
My style depends on the scene, as I am very flexible. For circuit parties, I play a harder and sexy, more techy-influenced side of Circuit music, which makes sense given my long residency with Matinee Group and Circuit Festival. In northern Europe, where I hold a residency at Kit Kat Club in Berlin and Sexy Party in Cologne, Techno is my focus.
The absolute best part? Seeing the dance floor packed with happy faces! It’s incredible to create that connection with the crowd, to communicate pure joy through music. For me, DJing is more than just playing songs; it’s about building a community, sharing a vibe, and losing ourselves in the music together. It’s the perfect escape from the everyday. There’s also a real creative challenge in crafting the setlist, building the energy, and keeping the party moving.

Many overlook Circuit’s history, originating from the need for hedonistic gays to find a safe space for self-expression. It’s inspiring to see how inclusive the scene is becoming year by year, with people of all races, genders, and sexualities celebrating together on the dance floor.
As Frankie Knuckles famously said, ‘The minute you think you’re greater than the music, you’re finished.’ That’s a mantra I live by. If you’re passionate about DJing, here’s some advice: hone your skills, network with others in the scene, and be patient. Start with local gigs, learn from every experience, even though it is very tempting to go to big stages very fast – and most importantly, never lose sight of your love for the music!
I am at 5’6” (170cm) tall, so don’t be surprised when you see me in person for the first time! 😄
